Product Introduction

The J.H. glass lined and silicon carbide heat exchanger has a glass lined shell and a bundle of silicon carbide heat-exchange tubes, the corrosive mediums will go through shell side and cooling/heating medium will go through tube side. Because of high heat conductivity of silicon carbide, this type of heat exchange can reach a much higher heat-exchange efficiency compared with glass lined heat exchangers. 

Meanwhile, silicon carbide also have superior anti-corrosion performance against acid and alkali. It is ideal material to replace highly expensive metal like tantalum. It can work well under high pressure and temperature conditions, especially suitable to cool HF or hydrogen bromide gas.

Working Principle

Silicon carbide tubular heat exchangers use heat-resistant tubes made of corrosion-resistant silicon carbide that are ideal for heating, cooling and condensing chemically corrosive process media.
It's a shell and tube structure where all medium contacts surface are corrosion resistant and heat-exchange will happen between shell and tube surfaces.
